We’re delighted to return to Ferrycarrig Hotel for our 2027 Senior Mixed Pairs events 😁 Just 10 minutes’ drive to the centre of historic Wexford town, known for its medieval lanes and architecture and surrounded by stunning river views, Ferrycarrig Hotel is a perfect base for three days of fun (and sometimes competitive!) golf.

 

April Event 1: 18 – 22 April

4 nights luxurious accommodation at the renowned 4-Star Ferrycarrig Hotel on the banks of the Slaney River Estuary (Sunday 18th – Thursday 22nd April). On the Sunday night of arrival, all participants are invited to a Welcome Reception & Dinner in the Hotel Restaurant.

Mon 19th: Rosslare Golf Links: Located just 25 minutes from the hotel and overlooking the Irish Sea, this is a beautiful and challenging course.

Tue 20th: New Ross Golf Club: Set between the scenic Barrow and Nore valleys, with the Brandon and Blackstairs Mountains as a striking backdrop, the course offers a memorable and picturesque setting.

Wed 21st: Enniscorthy Golf Club: Beautifully maintained, Enniscorthy isrenowned for its mature, tree-lined fairways and consistently excellent greens.

There will be a prize giving ceremony at the hotel on the Wednesday evening with daily & overall prizes awarded.

 

May Event 2: 3rd – 7th May

4 nights luxurious accommodation at the renowned 4-Star Ferrycarrig Hotel on the banks of the Slaney River Estuary (Monday 3rd – Friday 7th May).On the Monday night of arrival, all participants are invited to a Welcome Reception & Dinner in the Hotel Restaurant.

Tue 4th: Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club: Located on the Carlow–Wexford border, this course has quickly earned a reputation as one of Ireland’s top inland golf courses.

Wed 5th: Wexford Golf Club: Located in the heart of town, the course and clubhouse command impressive views over Wexford town and the sea.

Thur 6th: St. Helen’s Bay Golf Club: Set in one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal locations, St. Helen’s Bay Golf Resort features two of the best finishing holes in Irish golf!

There will be a prize giving ceremony at the hotel on the Thursday evening with daily & overall prizes awarded.

 

The Club Choice Ireland Stena Line Senior Mixed Pairs 2027 events are open to competitors who are 59 years and older with an official WHS handicap. Each team must have 1 lady & 1 gent. The format is Fourball Betterball each day. Maximum playing handicaps will apply: Gents 28 & Ladies 36.

 

Both Events will open for booking in early July – so watch this space!

PACKAGE PRICE: €TBC per person sharing*

*Prices are based on 2 people travelling per car and players must be aged 59 or over and hold an official club handicap. Terms and conditions apply. Ferry sailing is with Stena Line ferries and departs from a choice of ports including; Cairnryan, Holyhead or Fishguard. Optional extras such as an additional accommodation or rounds of golf can be arranged.

Explore Ireland’s Ancient East

Make the most of your down-time (or extend your stay!), and take in some of the fantastic sights and attractions of Ireland’s Ancient East. There are beautiful scenic touring ideas to check out, charming towns and villages to explore, and unique attractions waiting to be explored.

Just a short distance from the hotel you’ll find The Irish National Heritage Park where you can stroll through 9,000 years of history.

The Viking City of Waterford is just an hour down the road and is brimming with history, culture and craic!

And not to be outdone, Medieval Kilkenny City (also just an hour away) boasts a 12th century castle, medieval showpieces and the home of Ireland’s oldest ale, Smithwicks.

Closer to Dublin is the Boyne Valley, once the territory of Ireland’s high kings this region boasts a history that dates back over 5,000 years, including one of the most important prehistoric landscapes in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, BrĂș na BĂłinne.
