2025 Event Details

We’re delighted to announce a new destination for the 2025 event!

Tee off next Spring in the ‘Yellowbelly’ County of Wexford at the 2025 Stena Line Senior Mixed Pairs. This unique golf event takes place from Sunday 27th April to Thursday 1st May.

Join us for 4 nights luxurious accommodation at the renowned 4-Star Ferrycarrig Hotel on the banks of the Slaney River Estuary. Ferrycarrig is just 10 minutes’ drive to the centre of historic Wexford town, known for its medieval lanes and architecture. Surrounded by stunning river views, Ferrycarrig Hotel is a perfect base for three days of fun (and sometimes competitive!) golf.

On the Sunday night of arrival, all participants are invited to a Welcome Reception & Dinner in the Hotel Restaurant.

Rosslare Golf Links will host the first day of the competition. Located just 25 minutes from the hotel and overlooking the Irish Sea, this is a beautiful and challenging course.

Day two takes you to Wexford Golf Club. A short 10 minutes from the hotel, Wexford Golf Club has wonderful views across the town and out to sea.

On the final day, you will enjoy the breathtaking parklands of Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club.

There will be a prize giving ceremony following golf on the Wednesday with daily & overall prizes awarded.

The format is Fourball Betterball each day. Maximum playing handicaps will apply: Gents 28 & Ladies 36.

The Club Choice Ireland Stena Line Senior Mixed Pairs 2025 is open to competitors, 57yrs and older, from the UK, Ireland and beyond. Each team must have 1 lady & 1 gent.

 

Great Britain & Overseas Package Details

For overseas competitors, the package includes:

  • 4 nights Bed & Breakfast in the 4-Star Ferrycarrig Hotel (Sunday – Thursday)
  • 3 rounds of competition golf:
    • Day 1: Rosslare Golf Links
    • Day 2: Wexford Golf Club
    • Day 3: Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club
  • Welcome reception and evening meal (Sunday)
  • Return ferry (car plus two passengers)
  • Daily and overall prizes

PACKAGE PRICE: £615pps*

*Prices are based on 2 people travelling per car and players must be aged 57 or over and hold an official club handicap. Terms and conditions apply. Price is based on Euro pricing of €695pps.

Ferry sailing is with Stena Line ferries and departs from a choice of ports incl; Cairnryan, Holyhead or Fishguard. Optional extras such as an additional accommodation or rounds of golf can be arranged.

Explore Ireland’s Ancient East

Make the most of your down-time (or extend your stay!), and take in some of the fantastic sights and attractions of Ireland’s Ancient East. There are beautiful scenic touring ideas to check out, charming towns and villages to explore, and unique attractions waiting to be explored.

Just a short distance from the hotel you’ll find The Irish National Heritage Park where you can stroll through 9,000 years of history.

The Viking City of Waterford is just an hour down the road and is brimming with history, culture and craic!

And not to be outdone, Medieval Kilkenny City (also just an hour away) boasts a 12th century castle, medieval showpieces and the home of Ireland’s oldest ale, Smithwicks.

Closer to Dublin is the Boyne Valley, once the territory of Ireland’s high kings this region boasts a history that dates back over 5,000 years, including one of the most important prehistoric landscapes in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Brú na Bóinne.
