Designed by Ryder Cup captain and player Paul McGinley, Macreddin Golf Course is a striking woodland layout set in the scenic Wicklow countryside near Aughrim. Tree-lined fairways and strategic design reward accuracy from the tee, while opposing hillsides create dramatic elevation changes throughout the round.
The par-3 fourth is a standout, with panoramic valley views and a green set some 40 metres below the tee. Described by The Irish Times as a “thoroughly enjoyable golfing experience”, Macreddin offers challenge, scenery and character in equal measure.
