What a great weekend we had!
The inbound flights to Dublin arrived on time and there was a great Irish welcome at the airport. Attila, our minibus driver was there well in advance of time. He was excellent all weekend.
Woodenbridge was a very welcoming club where we had an excellent breakfast followed by the start of the Ryder Cup before teeing off. The course was in excellent condition and everyone our group enjoyed playing it.
We despaired on Saturday morning when we saw the torrential rain. However the ProShop at Wexford Golf Club were extremely accommodating and allowed us to tee off after the rain had stopped and we ended up platting in the sunshine. The Course had excellent greens (I dread to think how fast they are when bone dry in summer). On Sunday we travelled to Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club. What an amazing clubhouse and from my personal perspective a truly stunning golf course.
Whites of Wexford is a wonderful hotel with overall excellent facilities and service.
Thank you again, Tiernan and Aoife for organising this trip for us. I will be recommending you to others and hope that I have the opportunity to use your services again at some time in the future.
